Between the Mourning Dress and Military Uniform (Japanese: 喪服と軍服の間) is the seventh episode of the Spiral Labyrinth arc of the second series of the Legend of Galactic Heroes Gaiden OVA.

Synopsis
Yang Wen-li attends the funeral of Alfred Rosas, and discusses the Year 730 Mafia with Alex Cazerne and Dusty Attemborough. Later, he reviews the fate of the Year 730 Mafia after the Second Battle of Tiamat. Before he can come up with any concrete conclusions however, he is notified of his new appointment in the planet Econia, which hosts a prisoner-of-war camp.

Background information
Cazerne's quote on "thousands die to raise one hero to fame" (一将功成りて万骨枯る) is derived from the first part of Jihaisui (己亥岁), a two part poem composed by Tang poet Cao Song.
