Jean Robert Lapp (Japanese: ジャン・ロベール・ラップ) was a very intelligent officer, who even the great Yang Wen-li considered to be his equal. Lapp was also Yang's best friend, having spent a great deal of time together when they were both in the Free Planets Alliance Officer Academy. Lapp was killed in action at the Battle of Astate; he was survived by his wife, Jessica Edwards.
