The Ministry of Space was a branch of the United Earth Government dealing with space exploration and research.

History
Foundation
The ministry of space was created in 2129 CE as part of the original charter of the United Earth Government. By 2166, it had constructed colonies on Mars and Io, as well as a very large city on the Moon, Luna City, which served as the ministry's capital.(LOGH: 'To Earth')
Insterstellar Exploration
In 2253 CE, the Ministry of Space launched the Alpha Centauri Expedition: an enormous exploration vessel was launched from the Ministry's base on Io on a 20-year mission to Earth's nearest star, Alpha Centauri, and back. The ship was never heard from again.
In 2260, a Ministry of Space research team led by Dr. Antonel Yanosher developed Warp drive, allowing for faster-than-light travel. But the technology was unreliable, impractical and dangerous, and took 31 years to perfect. Once Warp drive was perfected in 2391, the Ministry of Space organized the Naviagtion Safety Department to oversee exploration of deep space.
The Ministry of Space was absorbed into the United Earth Government's Space Force in 2484 CE.(LOGH: 'To Earth')
