A carrier (Japanese: )^{[clean-up needed]} is a type of military vessel used as a mobile base for deploying, maintaining, recovering smaller spacecrafts such as fighters and gunships in naval battles. These vessels were also often used as capital ships for central command in combat.

Alliance Carriers have half open hangar design with fighters mounted in under lower hull of the ship, when deployed, the fighters were launched from these under belly hangars into combat, although their fighter deployment is faster and can carry more planes, these carriers were even more vulnerable to attacks from below as their lower hull remained unarmored due to the space required for carrying Spartanian fighters into combat.

Galactic Empire
