Two questions

Hi there, I wonder if anybody knows what is Basel's first name given in the Gaiden OVA? I got the name "Christopher" from the LoGH Encyclopaedia and while it is a valid name, it is unusual as a German name. In addition, when Keyserling introduced Basel in 'Chapter III', he pronounced Basel's first name as something like "Christof", so I am curious if this was reflected in the original subs.

Secondly, can Basel be considered as a noble? Generally speaking, Imperial citizens with a "von" in their names are nobles but all the sources I have access to never indicates whether Basel was a noble or not, so I am wondering if anybody knows more about this issue. The DVD lists as Christoph von Basel. It is not explicitly stated he is a noble, but it can be safely assumed he is as in episode 40, 2 of the people Reinhard gives administrative jobs to give up their titles and also the use of "von" in their name. Iracundus 13:08, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
