German & Katakana name
The German name given in the DVD features is Ion-kraftfahrzeug. The katakana is イオノクラフト which translates phonetically to "ionocraft", which incidentally is also the katakana and English title given in the DVD features for the Alliance equivalent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionocraft So maybe a rename is in order after all since the mechanism is explicitly given.
