This Imperial reconnaissance ship (Japanese: 強行偵察艦) was a vessel design which were used by the Imperial fleets to carry out reconnaissance, which included photographic intelligence, signals, and counter intelligence purposes.
A vessel of this type was sent out by Paul von Oberstein prior to the Westerland Massacre to take photographic evidence of the atrocities committed by the leader of the Lippstadt League, Duke Otho von Braunschweig for propaganda purposes.
After Reinhard von Lohengramm become the Kaiser of the New Galactic Empire, these vessels were still in service as of 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE), and were deployed prior to the Battle of Marr-Adetta against the final struggle of the Free Planets Star Fleet.
During the conflict between the Iserlohn Republic and the New Empire in 801 UC (3 NIC / 492 IC / 3601 CE), a recon ship was used to monitor the movements of the Republic's fleet from an asteroid field near Iserlohn Fortress.
