Wilhelm von Muckenberger (Japanese: ) was a high ranking admiral in the Imperial Fleet in the waning years of the Goldenbaum Empire. For several years he served as commander of the Imperial Fleet stationed at Iserlohn Fortress.
Following the loss of Iserlohn to the Free Planets Alliance fleet led by Yang Wenli, Muckenberger retired from active duty. He did not put his uniform back on during the Imperial Civil War. It should be noted that Mückenberger is the only high-ranking retainer of the Goldenbaum Dynasty to not exit the story by violence or death.
History
The father of Gregor von Muckenberger, Wilhelm was an officer in the Imperial Fleet. He commanded a fleet under Fleet Admiral Zeiten during the Second Battle of Tiamat, where his reckless combat style was quickly overwhelmed by the more competent plans of Free Planets Alliance genius tactician, Bruce Ashbey. Wilhelm had seen the battle as an opportunity to avenge the recent death of his uncle, Fleet Admiral Keltring, who had long seen Ashbey as his nemesis.
