Looks like the earlier discussion at http://gineipaedia.com/wiki/Talk:Reinhard_von_Lohengramm#Premier_or_Prime_Minister was relevant after all. Iracundus 15:52, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Interesting. Are there changes to be made and which one is Premier/Prime Minister? Also, I remember something about Reinhard being the third person to occupy all positions as Otfied did. Who was the third then? The only one that comes to mind is possibly the two platoons of fleet admirals kaiser but I do not recall. Strayor 03:54, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- 国務尚書 is Premier. 宰相 is Prime Minister. I don't see anything about Reinhard being the third person. The novel states that in nearly a century, only one person, the future Otfried III, held all 3 joint chief of staff positions as well as the post of Prime Minister and Crown Prince. After the post of Prime Minister became empty and taboo, then Reinhard violating that taboo and taking that position after the Civil War even more strongly than ever has connotations of impending take over of the throne. - Sorry for nitpicking, but isn't 国務尚書 better translated as "Minister of State" instead of "Premier"? Glacierfairy 02:42, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- Could be. I hate government title translations in general because titles do not map precisely or carry the same connotations.
- Actually, we probably should come up with a consistent set of titles for the government positions and ministries of both the Alliance and the Empire. Looking through subs and the pages here, there are still inconsistencies to be found. Iracundus 23:13, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
