Engineering ship

Engineering ships (Japanese: 工作艦) are specialised Imperial vessels dedicated to various engineering tasks — construction, repair work, etc. Lightly armoured and completely unarmed, these ships were primarily used in non-combat roles, but began to see action in the later stages of the Alliance–Imperial War and later, as Imperial commanders of the time became more willing to use unconventional tactics.

Engineering vessels were instrumental in Siegfried Kircheis's suppression of the Castrop Rebellion in 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). (LOGH: 'The Castrop Rebellion')
