Description

Template for producing the 'Main article:' annotation at the top of a section for which there is a separate and usually more expansive article. Up to ten articles can be linked.

Syntax

{{main|<article 1>|<article 2>...|l1=<alt title 1>|l2=<alt title 2>...}}

Sample output

{{main|Imperial Civil War}} produces:

Main article: Imperial Civil War

{{main|Imperial Civil War|l1=Civil war}} produces:

Main article: Civil war

Notes

This template should only be used at the top of an appropriate section, immediately beneath its header. Do not insert it into body text, &c.
