El Facil (Japanese: )[clean-up needed] was a planet of the former Free Planets Alliance which was conquered by the Galactic Empire in 788 UC (479 IC / 3588 CE), during the FPA–Imperial War. Prior to the invasion, the FPA military forces that were supposed to have protected the planet fled, leaving the evacuation effort to a young, newly-commissioned officer, Yang Wen-li.
Yang was able to successfully evacuate more than 3 million civilians from El Facil before the Imperial forces landed, including the woman who would later become his wife, Frederica Greenhill. For his efforts, Yang became a hero of the Free Planets Alliance.
