==Legend of Galactic Heroes translation--source?==
Maybe this is a really, really stupid question... but I just realized recently that I've never actually seen the English text, "Legend of Galactic Heroes" appear in any official context. With regard to LOGH products, I've only ever seen it referred to as 銀河英雄伝説, Ginga Eiyū Densetsu, and Heldensagen von Kosmosinsel. So where did the English translation come from? Is it just a fan-translation, or is there any official basis for it? (Granted, even if it is a fan-translation it's far too well-known by that name in the English-speaking community for us to even consider not using it). Legend of Galactic Heroes translation--source?

Maybe this is a really, really stupid question... but I just realized recently that I've never actually seen the English text, "Legend of Galactic Heroes" appear in any official context. With regard to LOGH products, I've only ever seen it referred to as 銀河英雄伝説, Ginga Eiyū Densetsu, and Heldensagen von Kosmosinsel. So where did the English translation come from? Is it just a fan-translation, or is there any official basis for it? It is a direct translation of 銀河英雄伝説 which is identical in Chinese. 銀河 is galaxy. 英雄 is hero/heroes and 伝説 is legend. Iracundus 09:53, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
