Synopsis
In the Free Planets Alliance, public opinion is divided over the defection of Erwin Josef II and the establishment of the Galactic Empire Legitimate Government under the auspices of the Alliance government, which is made worse with Reinhard von Lohengramm's declaration of war on the Alliance. However, High Council Chairman Job Trunicht remains convinced his policies are on the right track and even uses the imminent threat of hostilities with the Empire as an opportunity to increase his influence over the military, prompting a major personnel overhaul. In the midst of the overhaul, Julian Mintz is assigned as a military attaché to the Alliance High Commission in Fezzan.
