The Department of Public Peace was a branch of the United Earth Government's Ministry of Space. It was created in 2404 out of the old Navigation Safety Department to supervise trade and emmigration between Earth and the Colony Worlds. The Department of Public Peace was dissolved in 2428 when it merged with the newly-created Space Defense Corps. (LOGH: 'To Earth')
