The Free Planets Alliance Assembly functioned as the legislative branch of the Free Planets Alliance government, alongside the executive branch and the courts. (Legend of Galactic Heroes Volume 1: Dawn)

Settled planets within the alliance appear to correlate 1:1 legislative districts. The Assembly also appears to be unicameral, though it is possible that different districts have different numbers of representatives based on population.
