Haikasoru is a special line of English-language translations of Japanese speculative fiction, published by Viz Media. The series is intended to showcase the best speculative fiction from Japan, including work from both established, classic authors as well as the new and popular. "Featuring the action of anime and the thoughtfulness of the best speculative fiction, Haikasoru aims to truly be the "high castle" of science fiction and fantasy." Launched in 2009, the Haikasoru series has published a novels from a number of prominent Japanese authors, including Miyabe Miyuki, Ogiwara Noriko, Mitsuse Ryu, Ogawa Issui and Tanaka Yoshiki.
