This destroyer class is heavily implied to be a predecessor to designs like the Hameln II due to visual similarities in their engine and rear hulls. The Hameln II in turn is stated in the DVD features to have a older and hence a more inefficient and larger engine section compared to the main destroyer class of 788 UC (479 IC / 3588 CE).
