The flagship Leonidas (796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE))
|Affiliation:||Free Planets Alliance|
|Flag officer:||Vice Admiral Pastolle|
|Purpose:||Flagship (4th Fleet)|
|Status:||Destroyed in combat|
|Destroyed:||796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE)|
The Leonidas led the 4th Fleet against the Lohengramm Fleet at the Battle of Astarte in 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). With the 4th Fleet completely unprepared for Lohengramm's attack, the Leonidas was quickly destroyed, and Vice Admiral Pastolle was killed. (DNT: 'In the Eternal Night', 'The Battle of Astarte')
The Leonidas, like most Alliance flagships, is a modified version of the Alliance's standard battleship design. As with the majority of Alliance flagships, a key distinguishing feature are the four antennae protruding from the dorsal, ventral, port and starboard side of the rear hull. Additional armament emplacements protrude from both the port and starboard side of the upper-half of the vessel's prow. The Leonidas is visually identical to the 7th Fleet flagship, the Kukulkan.
