Death?

Strictly speaking do we know for certain he was killed and his flagship destroyed? We hear the communications officer on the Tristan say there is no response from his fleet HQ, but being killed is only one possible reason why there was no response. Iracundus 14:00, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Its a guess, admittedly taken from the context of the scene. I took it as the first admiral being confirmed killed outright, Barthauser not responding to hails at all, and the other unit mentioned being cut off mid-communication. Maybe change it to unknown? Vympel 14:15, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

It certainly is suggestive he was killed but there is no definitive evidence. I suppose to be accurate it can be said that his fate is unknown but likely killed given the manner of the reporting. Iracundus 14:19, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
