I say Steiermark did it (or 2nd runner up is Michaelsen committed suicide when faced with threat of exposure). As the most intelligent and competent of the Imperial admirals mentioned (and the only one of note that clearly survived the Second Battle of Tiamat), my hypothesis is that after 6 years, he finally uncovered evidence showing the role Michaelsen had played in leaking information to the Alliance. Steiermark confronted Michaelsen and then either did the deed or threatened to expose Michaelsen so Michaelsen killed himself out of desperation. Steiermark then either did not reveal it after all or did and it was suppressed by the Empire. Iracundus 12:10, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
