Government position name wrangling

Claude's position is 国庫課長 which is clearly National Treasury Manager or Treasury Manager. The problem is this position is part of the 財務委員会事務局 which might perhaps be more literally translated as the Finance Committee Secretariat or Financial Affairs Committee Secretariat. Technically Rebelo's previous position is more accurately translated as Secretary of Finance or even more literally as Chairman of the Finance (or Financial Affairs) Committee. As I delve into the titles of the internal politics of the Alliance bureaucracy, I think we need to agree on a standard translation of titles to avoid confusion. So what shall it be? Do we keep to the old titles of "Secretary of Treasury" and the like or do we do the wordier but technically more literally accurate titles? Iracundus 13:47, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

I always thought the translations of Alliance High Council positions are clearly intended to evoke the style of American cabinet positions (just like how British-style positions are used to translate Imperial cabinet positions), so I guess we can follow this convention and apply American-style naming for other Alliance governmental positions as well.
