Service history
The Achilleus' first battle was at the Battle of Rantemario in February 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE). Though the 14th Fleet suffered grievous losses in that battle, the Achilleus survived and the remains of the 14th Fleet joined the Yang Fleet for the subsequent battles of the war. At the Battle of Vermilion, the Achilleus cooperated with the Attenborough Squadron in cutting off the Imperial line of retreat. However, on 2 May, when the Müller Fleet joined the battle, Morton's fleet suffered heavy losses, and the Achilleus itself was destroyed. (LOGH: 'The Two-Headed Snake: The Battle of Rantemario', 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)')
Design
The Achilleus is near identical to the 15th Fleet flagship, the Diomedes.

Appearance differences
In the original release of 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)', the Achilleus' pennant number "1401" - denoting it as the flagship of the 14th Fleet - is briefly shown as "1501" (the pennant number of the Diomedes) when the Achilleus is destroyed. This was corrected in the DVD release.
