A navigation corridor is a term used to describe the route between any two stars by which interstellar vessels can travel, via warp. Because warp travel is a very complex process, viable routes must be meticulously surveyed and analyzed before it can be deemed sufficiently safe for travel. Most inhabited planetary starzones are part of multiple navigation corridors: generally speaking, the fewer navigation corridors a starzone has access to, the most strategy a position that starzone will have.

White lines indicate primary navigation corridors between major starzones

A corridor is the term used for a narrow route through an otherwise impassable area of space, through which space travel is possible. Two corridors are known to exist - the Iserlohn Corridor and the Fezzan Corridor, both of which connect the territory of the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Passage through and control of these corridors formed a major part of the Alliance-Imperial War.

Iserlohn Corridor

The Iserlohn Corridor (Japanese: イゼルローン回廊) was the name given to a narrow expanse of space between the Orion Arm and the Sagittarius Arm of the Galaxy through which interstellar vessels could safely travel between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. It was the first of two navigable routes discovered between the two nations, and includes the Tiamat, Amritsar, Forgen, and Astarte stars.

Fezzan Corridor

The Fezzan Corridor (Japanese: フェザーン回廊) was the name given to a narrow expanse of space between the Orion Arm and the Sagittarius Arm of the Galaxy through which interstellar vessels could safely travel between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. It was the second of two navigable routes discovered between the two nations.
