Kläfe was an Imperial Lord of the Treasury who served under Rudolf von Goldenbaum. When Rudolf wanted to change the Imperial units of measure from the meter and gram to the kaiser-faden and the kaiser-centner, he presented a calculation of the expenditure required to implement the change.
