Kläfe

Kläfe (Japanese: クレーフェ) was an Imperial politician who served as the lord of the treasury under Rudolf von Goldenbaum. When Rudolf wanted to change the Imperial units of measure from the meter and gram to the kaiser-faden and the kaiser-centner, he presented a calculation of the expenditure required to implement the change.

Although he was considered meek, it is believed that Kläfe resisted this proposal and may have inflated that calculation to convince Rudolf that it wasn't worth doing. (Legend of Galactic Heroes Volume 1: Dawn)
