Negroponte (Japanese: ネグロポンティ) was an Alliance politician who succeeded Job Trunicht as the Secretary of Defence after the latter became the High Council chairman in 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). In April 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE), he presided the hearings against Yang Wen-li's actions during the liberation of Heinessen from the National Salvation Military Council. As the hearings were conducted around the same time the Empire invaded Iserlohn Fortress in the Eighth Battle of Iserlohn, Negroponte took responsibility for summoning Yang from Iserlohn and resigned as a result. He went on to become the president of a state controlled hydrogen energy corporation.
