The New Galactic Empire's Ministry of Industry was created by Reinhard von Lohengramm in June 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE). It was intended to regulate transportation, communication, construction and production in order to consolidate (and thereby increase) the power of Reinhard's fledgling New Galactic Empire.
The first Minister of Industry Bruno von Silberberch was appointed personally by Reinhard. Silberberch's first order was to begin preparation to move the Imperial Capital to Fezzan, in preparation for the unified galaxy that would emerge following Reinhard's conquest of the Free Planets Alliance and the end of the Alliance–Imperial War later that year.
