Service History
The Heorot served as Bayerlein's flagship whilst he held the rank of Rear Admiral. Though it was first observed at the Battle of Rantemario in 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), it can probably be assumed to have been Bayerlein's flagship in the previous battles he fought under Mittermeyer's command. (LOGH: 'The Two-Headed Snake: The Battle of Rantemario')
At some point after Bayerlein's promotion to the rank of full Admiral, he transferred his flag to his unique flagship, the Nürnburg. (LOGH: 'The Battle of the Corridor: Kaleidoscope')

Background information
Heorot is a mead hall described in the Anglo-Saxon poem Beowulf - a clear reference to Mittermeyer's unique flagship, under whom Bayerlein served throughout the series.
