Service History
Commodore Müsel took the Tannhäuser as his flagship prior to the Battle of Van-Fleet Starzone in 794 UC (485 IC / 3594 CE), leading a small force of over 200 ships as part of the Grimmelshausen Fleet. (HBSHBL: 'The Battle of Van-Fleet Starzone')
Following his achievements in the ground campaign on Planet Van-Fleet 4, Müsel was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, and the Tannhäuser led a larger force of over 2000 ships to Iserlohn Fortress later in 794 UC (485 IC / 3594 CE) to respond to the Alliance invasion of the Iserlohn Corridor, fighting in several engagements culminating in the Sixth Battle of Iserlohn, where Müsel's fleet was instrumental in saving the fortress and luring the Alliance fleet into the firing arc of the Thor Hammer. Having once again rendered distinguished service at that battle, Müsel was promoted again to Vice Admiral and in 795 UC (486 IC / 3595 CE) joined an Imperial expedition under the overall command of Fleet Admiral Mückenberger to mark the 30th anniversary of Kaiser Friedrich IV taking the throne. The Tannhäuser once again led its fleet to victory at the resulting Third Battle of Tiamat, routing the 11th Fleet in a matter of minutes. As a result, Reinhard von Müsel was promoted to the rank of Admiral and transferred his flag to the experimental flagship Brünhild, provided to him by the Kaiser as a reward for his distinguished service.
