LoGH Translation Project

Looks like a couple of fine folks are working on the books (again). They're two chapters into Book 2. Since we've got the one (uncredited) translation up, perhaps we should consider also incorporating the new translation into Gineipaedia somehow?

And if so, we have to figure out HOW to go about doing it. Since the LoGH Translation Project has its own website (blog), it seems to me the easiest (and most ethical) solution would simply be to have a little Appendix section mentioning the new fan-translation on the relevant pages (while keeping the old translation pages as-is). That okay with everyone?

Well, the translator for the novels had specifically asked that we do not host the translations in Gineipaedia, and so the most we have here is a link to her site in here: Category:Novel translations. I personally feel that that is sufficient for now. There is a relevant discussion over that in that page's talk page (Category talk:Novel translations). Glacierfairy 00:37, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't see that. I wasn't suggesting anything more than a link, though. Somewhere... there's a debate about whether or not that old translation deserved to be posted here at all. The general idea was to host it here simply because it was so hard to find anywhere else.

I'm not certain how worthwhile it is, but it might be nice to create like a "community" page/category in the Miscellany section, just to link to various (active) Gineiden sites/communities/projects. You know, build a proper network and all that. Canary 18:30, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

That would be quite interesting, although I don't have enough knowledge in that area. (How many current LoGH fan projects besides ours are there anyway?) Glacierfairy 13:27, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
