Crown Prince Ludwig was the son of Kaiser Friedrich IV, and presumably was next in line for the throne. However he was deceased by 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). His son, Erwin Josef II, would become the 37th Kaiser of the Galactic Empire's Goldenbaum Dynasty. (LOGH: 'New Trends')
