What is the source for Herbert's military rank? The one depiction we have of him does not show the epaulettes of an Imperial Fleet Admiral, and instead suggests his rank was High Admiral. Iracundus 12:19, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

Heinesse, can you please respond to the above? Based on the picture, Herbert seems to have had the rank of High Admiral as we do not see him with shoulder epaulettes. Iracundus 12:45, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

The source is the encyclopedia that provides the details of the battle of Dagon. The OVA does indeed show him as a High Admiral, but it's entirely possible that picture was taken before Herbert became a Fleet Admiral. Heinesse

Not sure if using rank information from licensed sources in infoboxes fits with the canon policy. As documented, those sources can't be used at all except under Appendices, let alone when they conflict with information in the primary sources. But a lot of new stuff has appeared since that policy was written/discussed, so maybe it's worth revisiting. Either way, article talk pages aren't the ideal place for citations; something under Licensed sources would be helpful if you can find the exact reference (i'd look myself, but my copy of the book is packed away right now)  ♥ kine @ 22:48, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
