Waitz (Japanese: ワイツ) was an Imperial civil servant who served as secretary to Marquis Klaus von Lichtenlade. He was notable for accepting a bribe from Reinhard von Lohengramm to advise the Marquis to accept Reinhard von Lohengramm's request to re-assign the task to quell the Castrop Rebellion to Siegfried Kircheis.

Waitz did this by suggesting that if Kircheis failed, then any blame would fall upon Reinhard for refusing the assignment. If Kircheis succeeded, then Kircheis would be indebted to the Marquis for the re-assignment. (Legend of Galactic Heroes Volume 1: Dawn)
