Tristan (Japanese: トリスタン) was the Imperial flagship of Imperial admiral Oskar von Reuenthal.

Service History

Sister ship to Wolfgang Mittermeyer's Beowulf, the Tristan first saw action at the head of the Reuenthal Fleet in Reinhard von Lohengramm's campaign to defeat the Free Planets Alliance's invasion of Imperial space in U.C. 796. It would go on to fight in the majority of the battles fought between 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE) and 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE).

The Tristan was damaged twice in its career. First, it was successfully boarded by a Rosen Ritter assault ship during the campaign to re-capture Iserlohn Fortress in 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE), and in 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE), when she came under treacherous fire from a battleship of the Grillparzer Fleet. In the process, Fleet Admiral Reuenthal sustained mortal wounds. ('The Sounding of Gjallarhorn', 'Die by the Sword')

Decommissioning

The Tristan was presumably decommissioned after Reuenthal's death.
