+ | :Sound argument. I agree. On another note, is that picture really supposed to be Earth/Terra? I know the map pretty well and I can't recognize a single landmass. I'm sure that the two wars scarred the surface but not to the point of deforming the continents. You guys think it was just a mistake or is this the right photo/file? |

Notes regarding Terra vs Earth
Per Talk:Terraism i've renamed this to Terra and changed (almost) all references to match. I did not change the references to the United Earth Government, however, and my reasoning is as follows:
Although it is true that the series never refers to the planet as Earth in the 'present-day' period, it is referred to that way in the historical documents shown in 'To Earth'. (For example, the graphic at about 00:08:12, the signs held by protesters at about 00:08:56, and, if we can count it, the paper reports shown around 00:11:12.)
If we take this at face value, which i guess we should try to do when possible, this suggests that Earth was still called Earth until at least the late 27th century, but then some time afterwards — perhaps with the influence of Terraism — the name shifted back to Terra.
Given the lack of evidence to the contrary, it is therefore probable, i think, that the United Earth Government was in fact called that, not the United Terran Government or anything similar, and also that the war was called the Earth-Sirius War, not Terra-Sirius or whatever.
