The Braunschweig Fleet was a formation of the Imperial Navy under the command of Duke Otho von Braunschweig, who led it from the battleship Berlin. During the Imperial Civil War in 797 UC (488 IC / 3597 CE), it was mainly based at Geiersburg Fortress and did not see action until the forces under Fleet Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm's command arrived there. It took part in a large final attack against Lohengramm, but was routed due to Lohengramm's superior tactics. Only the arrival of High Admiral Merkatz and his fleet saved it from complete annihilation, allowing the surviving ships to retreat into Geiersburg. (LOGH: 'Courage and Loyalty')
