History

First colonized in 527 UC (218 IC / 3327 CE) by Nguyen Kim Hua and his fellow exiles after fleeing the Galactic Empire, the planet was named after the original Exodus Fleet leader, Arle Heinessen. Over the next one hundred year the population prospered and revived the Golden Age of Humanity of the Galactic Federation. By the end of the FPA–Imperial War, it boasted a population of over one billion.

The FPA-Imperial War

In 640 UC (331 IC / 3440 CE) the Galactic Empire made first contact with the Free Planets Alliance, and began the FPA–Imperial War. Under the command of Admiral Lin Pao, the Alliance defeated the Imperial fleet in what would later be known as the Battle of Dagon. This victory triggered a flood of refugees from the Galactic Empire to the Alliance. As a result the population size, the demography, and society experienced a tremendous change.

Astrography

Heinessen is the third of several planets within the [Barlat Starzone]. It orbits its star within the goldilock zone. It is 5000 Ly from Fezzan and 4 weeks of warp travel from Iserlohn Fortress.

Geology and Geography

Heinessen is an active rocky planet with the majority of its surface covered by water. It is relatively younger compared to Terra.

Biosphere

Heinessen has an oxygen atmoshpere.

Ecosystems

Heinessen supports multiple ecosystems, including mangrove swamps and open prairie. Since colonization, Terran ecosystems have been introduced to the native ones.

Flora and Fauna

Originally, Heinessen had limited vegetation in forms of prairies and swamp forests. Active terraforming has made Heinessen a lavish planet of terran life.

Cityscape

Heinessen has two mega cities, Heinessenpolis and Terneuzen, and numerous urban towns like Cramhorse.

Architecture

The majority of Heinessen architecture is modern concrete and metal highrises. Most homes are of simple design, but highly functional and highly computerized.
