Edmond Messersmith (Japanese: エドモンド・メッサースミシ) was an Alliance military officer who was a student of Admiral Dwight Greenhill and a friend of Frederica Greenhill. While Admiral Greenhill was vice president of the officer's academy, he had intended Edmond to be a prospective groom for Frederica, but it did not come to pass. Years later, when Frederica was trying to discover Yang's whereabouts during the inquiry, he tried helping her at the Strategical Planning Centre. (Legend of Galactic Heroes Volume 3: Endurance)
