Count Erich von Hartenburg (Japanese: エーリッヒ・フォン・ハルテンベルク) was the deputy commissioner of the Imperial Police during the late Goldenbaum Dynasty, and was considered to be the most likely candidate to be the next commissioner. It was also rumoured that he would become the minister of internal affairs. However, he ended up being murdered by his sister, Elisabeth von Lüneburg, on 1 December 794 UC (485 IC / 3594 CE), as she found out that he was responsible for sending her former fiance to his death on the battlefield.
He was considered to be a natural-born policeman who happened to be born as a noble. (HBSHBL: 'The Sixth Battle of Iserlohn')
