Handheld Armaments

Handheld Armaments were small weapons that could be operated by individual soldiers in combat, typically operating on similar principals to Beam Armaments. The most commonly-used handheld armament was a small beam pistol commonly referred to as a "blaster," which fired narrow beam of charged particles. Larger handheld beam weapons were also produced that could function as mobile artillery. (Legend of Galactic Heroes Volume 1: Dawn)
