Io is one of four satellites of Jupiter, in the Sol Starzone. In 2166 CE the United Earth Government constructed a large outpost on Io to oversee future deep-space exploration. It was from here that the Alpha Centauri Expedition was launched in 2253.(LOGH: 'To Earth')
