History

Early life and career

Elsheimer's life during the Goldenbaum Dynasty is practically unknown, except the fact that he was a promising civil servant and that he had married the younger sister of Cornelius Lutz. With the establishment of the New Galactic Empire in 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), he was appointed for a short period of time as the vice-minister for the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. (LOGH: 'New Government in August')

Later political career

In June 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE) after the Battle of the Corridor, Elsheimer was appointed as the director of civil affairs in Neue Land under the recommendation of Kaiser Reinhard von Lohengramm and he became regarded as a competent administrator. (LOGH: 'New Government in August')

In November 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE), during the onset of Reuenthal's Revolt, Elsheimer refused to side with Reuenthal, citing both official and personal reasons. Officially, he did not wish to participate in an act of treason and personally, he resented Reuenthal for being indirectly responsible for the death of his brother-in-law Lutz during the failed regicide attempt in Uruvasi. Reuenthal was impressed by his courage to speak out against him and decide to only keep Elsheimer under house arrest while he set off with his forces. (LOGH: 'The Two Great Ones Strike at Each Other!')

In December 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE) after Reuenthal's defeat in the Second Battle of Rantemario, Reuenthal returned to his office in Heinessenpolis critically injured from wounds inflicted during the battle. He released Elsheimer from house arrest and entrusted him full political authority over Neue Land in lieu of him until the arrival of new orders from the New Galactic Empire. Reuenthal then passed away soon afterwards. (LOGH: 'Endless Requiem')
