Pirate Wars

The Pirate Wars were a two-year long conflict, lasting from 206 UC (3006 CE) to 208 UC (3008 CE), fought between the Space Pirates and the Galactic Federation in the Frontier Worlds along the galactic rim. Though defeated in the war, interstellar piracy continued to plague the Federation at least until 288 UC (3088 CE), when one such band of outlaws, the Main Street Pirates, were defeated by Federation Armada forces under the command of Rudolf von Goldenbaum.
