Talk:Astarte (star)
From Gineipaedia, the Legend of Galactic Heroes wiki
Planet or star? I think the latter
I had changed all of my previous articles to get rid of references to Astarte as a star/starzone, because the LOGH Wiki articles we brought over said that it was a planet in the Boden Starzone. However, i have to say this seems very likely not to be the case. First of all, the Japanese fan sources consistently refer to it as 'Astarte Starzone'. Secondly, the LOGH III game strongly implies (although doesn't say outright) that it is a starzone.
Thirdly, and most importantly, the DVD shows the kanji for starzone — 星域 — in the Japanese subtitles (episode 002 @ 00:07:49). Why it does not use the term 'starzone' or 'star system' in the English subtitles, i have no idea — it seems to be an exception to the rule — but otherwise it seems pretty decisive.
Soooo... where do we get the claim that it's part of the Boden Starzone? Can anybody find this? ♥ kine @ 17:00, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Was Astate ever really featured in any animation other than the first two episodes? If it's not mentioned there, it's not mentioned anywhere.
- It IS possible that the name of the star is is "Boden" but that the starzone itself is named after the planet Astate. (There's also a Masszid starzone, named after the planet Masszid in the system). Canary 19:05, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
