Talk:Braunschweig's ship
From Gineipaedia, the Legend of Galactic Heroes wiki
Notes
Feel free to add any apocryphal information. Also, i think XXV was the right berth number, but i'm going from memory, so it might be slightly off. :) It shows it next to the door in the scene where Braunschweig and Flegel are walking out into Geiersburg, if anyone wants to double-check. ♥ kine @ 15:29, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Oh hey, here we go http://www.otakubell.com/LDs/galleries/Import/LoGH/Box2/artbinder/logh_box2_artbinder_set05.jpg :) I'll add this when i get home, no Photoshop here.
- PS: Somewhat unrelated, but it seems like the sketches in the LD art books might be the same as the ones in the DVD features — except higher quality. Should we start using these instead? ♥ kine @ 16:38, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Above link might not work, try http://www.otakubell.com/LDs/index.php?/category/497 instead; also, i was wrong about the XXV berth number. I thought they were Roman numerals, but it was actually a diagonal stripe pattern ('caution tape' style) above a control panel or something. Downer :( ♥ kine @ 00:06, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Those look amazing. Yeah, we should definitely use them!Vympel 00:46, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Some of the sketches are the same, and there is overlap and editing however not all is the same. There are also some earlier versions during the concept art stage. For example, the early design for Barbarossa more resembled Forseti. For comparison, the sketch of Braunschweig's ship from the DVD features includes an oblique view — Iracundus
- Ahh. Well then. If we want to be complete, i suppose we need them all :) ♥ kine @ 16:10, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'm really impressed at the level of detail in all the different art books linked on that page - the ones of certain flagships with the staff of the relevant Admiral could be especially useful if they're never named in the series. Plus you know, eye-candy for the site (I leave that to those of you who have photoshop). Interestingly there's also concept art of that damnably illusive Imperial carrier ship for the landing craft we see in the series in the Gaiden section. As well as concept art for the Imperial missile ship of the Gaiden which will definitely require inclusion on the missile ship's page, when its done (for the glimpse we get of it in the Gaiden is extremely damn fleeting).
