Talk:Fleet File Collection Vol.5
From Gineipaedia, the Legend of Galactic Heroes wiki
Notes / request / opinions
Let me know what you guys think about my 'redesign' of this page. I tried to improve the flow a little, and obviously the infobox is new.
Further notes:
- Despite HLJ claiming the release date of the set is March, the official site says April. From my cursory research i'm thinking it was probably released at the end of March, which explains the discrepancy, but i couldn't find a truly 'verifiable' source... so i went with the official site.
- Hopefully it's OK to link to Red Shoulders. I'm pretty sure that's Canary's site, so i guess in Wikipedia terms that would be considered 'original research', but since he did it separately from his work on Gineipaedia (in fact, before GP even existed) i'm going to say it's probably alright. Feel free to add any other reviews you can find.
- I'd like to add a photo of the fully assembled kit, but mine isn't put together yet. I'm also concerned about consistency with the other FFC articles — i doubt i'm ever going to buy all of these, so i won't be able to take identical shots of each model. We'll have to co-ordinate on that.
Lastly, it would be nice if we could get scans of all of the other boxes. If anyone ever feels like it, please do the following:
1. Set your scanner on colour mode at 300 or (preferably) 600 DPI
2. Set the box front-down on top of the scanner (you don't have to close the lid)
3. Set something on top of the box that will apply heavy and even pressure, like a heavy chest or something (this will reduce the box's flexing and puckering so everything gets the same focus)
4. Scan to PNG or TIFF
5. Repeat for the back
6. Send me the uncropped originals so i can make them like the ones i did
Let me know if you think of anything else ♥ kine @ 01:39, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Looks good to me. I didn't know Red Shoulders was Canary's site though. Haven't seen him in a while, hope he comes back. Anyways, I do have all the boxes except the original Vol. 1, I just need to get around to carting them in to work to do it whilst avoiding funny looks from my colleagues.
