Gaiden Appearances

Was ready to add the Gaiden appearances as well, but code came up with the main series episodes - am I doing it wrong? Vympel 04:07, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh, yeah, it's sort of biassed towards the main OVA. Here are the two rules you need to know:

1. Always pad the numbers to the max amount of digits in the series. For example, 110 is the highest OVA episode, so always pad to three digits. SL should be padded to two digits. There are no two-digit episode numbers for most of the Gaiden arcs, so don't pad those at all. (I know this is kind of irritating, it should be smart enough to figure it out either way, but it's going to take a fair amount of work to fix it, so we'll leave it like this for the time being.)

2. If you're using the {{e}} template, you need to put a series code for anything that isn't the main OVA. (You can put one for the main OVA too, but it's optional.) So for example for Dishonour you'd do like {{e|2|dis}}. The codes should be the same as the body citation codes.

Hmmm, still can't get it to work. If I do the {{e|2|dis}}, trying to add the citation for HSBHL results in 'The Battle of Van-Fleet Starzone'. Now, that's better, but it doesn't indicate the Gaiden arc. Am I still missing something :( Vympel 02:39, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
