Does anyone ever know if there's ever any additional information on this act? I don't remember anything about it during the flashback sequence (when Julian and Yang first met) but it's possible something may have happened in the Gaiden OVAs I haven't finished watching... the reference in episode 40 was intriguing, so I'd like to know more.
