Synopsis
Ulrich Kesler reports to Reinhard von Lohengramm the kidnapping of Kaiser Erwin Josef II. After requesting Kesler to track down the kidnappers, Reinhard convenes a meeting with his top-ranking admirals, informs them of the kidnapping, and then orders them to prepare their fleets to depart on immediate notice. Vice Admiral Molt, the head of security for Neue Sanssouci, commits suicide over his failure to prevent the kidnapping of the young emperor. Hildegard von Mariendorf realises that the kidnapping could only happen under the deliberate oversight of Reinhard and confronts him over that.
Meanwhile in Fezzan, Rupert Kesserling reports to Adrian Rubinsky that Alfred von Landsberg and Leopold Schumacher are en route to Fezzan with the kidnapped emperor, and expresses his concern over how Nicholas Boltik handled the negotiations with Reinhard. Kesserling then visits Jochen von Remscheid and informs him about the impending arrival of the young emperor. Finally, Kesserling has a tryst with Dominique Saint-Pierré in the latter's residence.
